Elsa Barron is an environmental journalist at the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines. She is also a Program Assistant at the Center for Climate and Security. Elsa’s writing has been published in The Hill, The Chicago Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal, among others. She is also the host of the podcast, Olive Shoot, focused on resilient hope through environmental peacebuilding. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with majors in biological sciences and peace studies and a minor in sustainability.
