Please join the Payne Institute for Public Policy at the Colorado School of Mines as we welcome Fellow Michael Cohen, Chief U.S. Economist and Head of Oil Analysis at bp, presenting a virtual seminar titled bp Energy Outlook – 2020 Edition on Thursday, October 29, 2022 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm (MT).

The global energy system is likely to undergo a fundamental restructuring in order to decarbonize. The bp Energy Outlook explores the forces shaping the global energy transition out to 2050 and the key uncertainties surrounding that transition.

Michael Cohen is Chief US Economist and Head of Oil Analysis in bp’s Group Economics team. In this role, he is responsible for oil, transportation, and US energy policy related analysis in bp’s Statistical Review of World Energy and Energy Outlook.  The Economics team helps inform decision making for bp’s board and executive team as well as bp’s broader businesses. Michael is also a non-resident Fellow at the Payne Institute.
