Alex McLean is founder and head of the Infrastructure, Construction and Utilities Practice at the leading Irish law firm, Arthur Cox. He has a broad based energy and natural resources practice, with particular expertise in the electricity sector, and combines broad industry expertise with a strong background in energy regulation and reform.

McLean has almost 25 years of regulatory, transactional and major projects experience in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and the Pacific. He currently serves on the management committee of the Energy Law Group, an association of independent law firms with leading energy practices in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and the Council of the Marine Renewables Industry Association.
